The white paper set out the government’s plans for modernising the regulation of the gambling sector. Casino businesses are free to offer new casino games, and new side bets or variants on existing games, without having to obtain approval from the Gambling Commission. Player information on the rules of each type of casino game on offer and a players’ guide to the house edge (giving the odds offered) must be displayed in each casino.
